The first-ever Earthshot Prize awards ceremony will take place on October 17, 2021, at the iconic Alexandra Palace in London.
Hosted by Clara Amfo and Dermot O’Leary, the evening’s event will be introduced by Prince William.  It will also feature Sir David Attenborough, who will speak about the importance of The Earthshot Prize and his optimism in our ability to rise to the greatest environmental challenges of our time.
The ceremony will feature unforgettable performances from globally renowned artists Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, KSI and Yemi Alade, and Shawn Mendes. Coldplay’s performance, from outside of Alexandra Palace, will use energy powered by 60 cyclists.
Working with Arena we provided an Avid Media composer with Interplay solution for real time editing. An EVS XTAccess and IP Director solution was used to take the directors cut and allow access for the editor to all camera feeds and footage, enabling them to cut 4 parts of the show and send them back to the EVS ready for transmission.
Once cut and sent we also enabled access for Discovery worldwide to the final show in DNX185X.
