With a passion for production and a strong history in rental, Liam is renowned for his passion and determination.

Liam is an energetic, highly motivated, dependable and dynamic leader with a proven track record in business development, with a genuine focus to succeed, and with over 25 years of Broadcast Rental experience, has a well established reputation as someone who can translate television and film production challenges into innovative solutions.

Before joining Origin, Liam’s previous role was as Post Production & Rental Director of a leading broadcast rental house. Liam enjoyed many senior roles within the business, honing his skills over 25 years and in the process building extensive client relationships throughout the live outside broadcast market as well as the long form drama and feature film sector.

JAMES GANDER

Managing Director

With over 35 years in the industry, James is a highly respected individual with an unrivalled determination and focus.

Born in West Sussex, James started as a driver at leading broadcast rental company in 1987 and worked his way up through the company with stints at Tony Mander Films and Clark Productions as a clapper loader, Focus Puller and Cameraman. After returning to the rental company he quickly progressed through engineering and technical department into the rental team, taking over as MD in 2007 and ultimately Director following a take over in 2016.

His 35 year career has garnered him considerable industry experience, both from a hands on and management perspective and his ability to nurture relationships, identify opportunities and look at the long term direction of a business has made him who he is today.

JAMES FISHWICK

Lead Systems Architect

With over 10 years experience in live workflow and post production, James is a leading Avid and EVS system engineer.

James is passionate extremely dedicated engineer. He thrives when working towards tight deadlines and under enormous pressure. This ability stems from an entire career spent working in Live Television where he has made a name for himself as someone who is unquestionably dependable.

As Origin’s Senior Solutions Architect, James specialises in designing, building and maintaining Post Production systems and workflows for clients in a variety of different implementations. He is highly experienced and has an excellent reputation within the industry, with many clients relying heavily on his knowledge and abilities to deliver first class workflows to high profile events across the globe.

ROB WHITTOCK

Senior Systems Architect

With over 20 year’s experience, Rob’s calm and focused approach delivers results every time.

Having honed his engineering skills working at HyperActive Broadcast then Gravity Media for nearly two decades, Rob has worked on many high profile projects. His experience in all areas of Outside Broadcast, TV and Film production is profound, one minute working closely with the likes of Ridley Scott on ‘The Councillor’ and Walter Murch on ‘Coup53’ and in the next supporting the production teams on ‘The Chelsea Flower Show’ and ‘Glastonbury’.

Rob’s methodical and thoughtful focus makes him a valued member of the team, and he has without a doubt been a key part of the success of the Origin Film & Television business.

KEN NEWMARCH

Rental Manager

Hard working and devoted to ensuring the highest of standards, Ken ensures that all rentals are organised and managed meticulously.

With 20 years in the business, Ken is accustomed to meeting even the most complex of broadcasting needs, at both the record and post production stages. And when combined with his strong strategic planning and communication skills, the expectations of every client are not only met, but exceeded.

Ken works closely with the Origin Solution Architects to help bring complex workflows to fruition, as well as planning and project-managing varying types of post-production projects. Utilising well-honed client liaison, relationship management, business development and logistical skills on a daily basis, Ken enjoys the challenges of his job and the variety of work involved in the role.

NEVILLE FULLER

Senior Client Account Manager

Neville delivers. His ability too quickly respond to client requests and problem solve are invaluable.

Neville is new to the Origin team, but certainly not new to the industry. With a history of over 30 years, starting back in 1989 as a trainee Video Technician he has worked for several major rental houses including Visual Impact, WLC Broadcast and Presteigne Charter before joining MCR in 2019. He now joins us following our take over of MCR and we are excited to have him on board. He goes above and beyond for his clients and has a vast in-depth knowledge that makes him invaluable.

Paul is new to the Origin team, but certainly not new to the industry. With a history of over 20 years, starting back in 1999 as a prep engineer he honed is skill there for a staggering 20 years before becoming Senior engineer at MCR Broadcast. He now joins us following our take over of MCR and we are excited to have him on board. His hard work, incredible problem solving and hands on engineering skills make him an excellent engineer and vital member of our team.
